This is all began in 2020. I was sitting in my bed at 3am enjoying weed, snacks, and Netflix. At the time, that was my usual. I was resting after having been on TikTok giving free readings for fun. I would do that often for long periods of time. The longest I remember being on TikTok Live was about 9-hours straight. It was rather easy for me to do. I am someone who loves to chat. I love to engage with people. I love to talk. I love to share information. I love to share my gifts. I love to share my stories. I have a great way of teaching others as well, and giving advice is something I’ve always been remarkable at; in my opinion. This evening was two days after I was at my Eleggua Altar asking for my gifts to activate. I was petitioning for an initiation of my spiritual path that was truly mine. After smoking my weed, I was eating my snacks watching Netflix when I began to feel pressure on my legs. I looked down at my feet to see what resembled hand prints. As I continued to watch my feet, I noticed the pressure rose up to my thighs and so did the indention in my comforter. Mind you, I was not moving nor breathing because I was scared, nervous, worried, and extremely anxious. I had heard many ghost stories growing up. I have watched many horror and thriller films as well in my youth. This experience began to feel like the start of one of those films. The next thing I felt was breathing on my neck as if someone was behind me, yet there was only a blue wall and no air has ever initiated from that direction. I was mortified. I immediately sat up on the edge of my bed, and threw my comforter off of me. I began communicating to this energy as if I was talking to someone in the room saying aloud, “I don’t like this. I don’t consent to my demons in my house. I don’t like this feeling. Tell me who you are. Show yourself.” This is when things began to get intense!

What I now inner-stand to be mounting, possession, trance mediumship, and channeling began to occur. For three hours, I experience what felt like my vessel being shared with another; specifically my Grandmother, Ella Pearl. My body initiated movement on its own without my thinking about it or even allowing. I wrapped my head in a white scarf. I cleansed and cleaned my Yemaya Altar. I tapped into my magick using Tarot. I had cards jumping out the deck at speeds and heights that had me feeling like Matilda. Without needing to look, I would catch the cards in the air and embody the vibration of each card. The experience was wild. At one point, this energy lead me outside to throw away offerings to Yamaha that were complete from a ritual executed several days prior. While having this experience, I found myself on the phone majority of the time with a friend by the name of Maria. I also ended up calling my Mother, and also my friend Calvin. While on the phone with them my grandmother came through my vessel to share messages in her voice and tone. It was my first time experiencing my vessel being used by another spirit. The energy was intense, and I was crying for most of the experience as I found my emotions to be all over the place from receiving insight about me not truly loving myself unconditionally. I was guided by my grandmother to ensure that I love myself unconditionally, and that would be my only responsibility. Through this practice, everything else would be handled for me. I also ended up drawing several images through automatic writing. One of which happened to be the a business logo of a mentor that came into my life several months later. This logo I channeled happened to be her business logo from thirteen years prior to the day we met when she had began her business as a spiritual coach. I get chills as I write this. The following morning, I was on the phone with my friend, Maria, again and she asked if I had remembered what happened the night prior. I did in fact remember everything. She informed me that she had a similar experience happen to her brother. So, she felt equipped as she supported me through what was a first for me.

Several months later, I was in my new apartment in Washington Heights. I had quit my job working as a Genius for Apple. I took on my path of trusting my intuition to guide me through life as oppose to working for another business or corporation. One afternoon, I was taking a nap after a meditation and found myself saying aloud, “Shaman. Shaman. I’m a Shaman. Shaman.” I was lucid enough to recognize that I was talking in my sleep. Immediately as I registered what I was saying, my eyes became heavy again, and I fell back into a deep sleep. Later to wake with a memory of me reminding myself that I was a Shaman. I spoke to one of my other mentors at the time, and told him what had happened. He affirmed he too knew this to be truth, and was glad that I had finally come to know my truth. From this moment forward, I decided to accept that I was in fact a Shaman. Not because of initiations. Not because of a journey I had lived. Not because of what I had done. Simply because my Spirit communicated to me that I am.

Since then, I have moved from New York City and have been traveling; California, Oregon, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Florida, Maryland, and Puerto Rico. I have healed myself from Cancer, Asthma, Allergies, Eczema, Hepatitis B, and Cold Sores. My body has scars. Many parts of my body are still healing as my frequency continues to fluctuate the more I connect with triggering reflections in the waking world. My inner wounds are still healing. My mind is still processing what has occurred, and what is happening. Up next is New Orleans, Louisiana. I feel thrilled. I feel excited. I feel ecstatic. I feel bubbly. I feel bouncy. I feel aligned. I feel upbeat. I feel ready. I feel welcoming of change. I feel alive.

Today, I know that I am a Shaman because the Divinity in me has stated as such. I know that I am a Healer because I heal myself. I know that I am a coach because I coach myself. I know that I am a Spirit Guide because my Spirit guides me. I know that I am a mentor because I mentor myself. It just so happens that I am also great at supporting others through their journey of being all of this for themselves, and more…..
